Tips and Tricks

Supporting founders

Understand the Founder's vision: Take the time to deeply understand the Founder's vision for the organisation. Familiarise yourself with their mission, values, and long-term goals. This knowledge will help you align your support and decision-making with their vision, making you a valuable partner in driving the organisation forward.

Anticipate needs and proactively offer support: Founders often have a lot on their plates and rely heavily on their Assistants to anticipate their needs. Stay one step ahead by proactively identifying tasks, projects, or potential roadblocks that might arise. Offer your support and suggestions promptly, demonstrating your ability to be a reliable and proactive partner.

Foster open communication: Establish clear and open lines of communication with the Founder. Regularly schedule one-on-one meetings to discuss priorities, challenges, and opportunities. Actively listen to their concerns and provide feedback and solutions when appropriate. You can build trust and ensure a productive working relationship by fostering transparent communication.

Be flexible and adaptable: Founders often operate in fast-paced and ever-changing environments. As their Assistant, it's essential to be flexible and adaptable to accommodate their shifting priorities and demands. Embrace change with a positive attitude and demonstrate your ability to handle unexpected challenges. Your adaptability will make you invaluable in supporting the Founder's dynamic needs.
